Rather than a perfectly smooth surface, rib fabric features fine vertical ribs created during the knitting process. These tiny ribs allow the fabric to stretch more easily, making it exceptionally comfortable while maintaining excellent shape recovery.
One of the things we love most about rib is its movement.
It doesn't simply hang—it flows.
That's why so many of our relaxed cardigans, wraps, and dresses are made from rib. The fabric creates beautiful soft folds and elegant drape without feeling heavy.
Although rib naturally offers a little more stretch than jersey, it also springs back beautifully. High-quality Merino rib doesn't become baggy or lose its shape—it combines softness, flexibility, and remarkable resilience.
Because of this extra stretch, many rib garments have a naturally relaxed fit. If you prefer a closer fit, you may find that sizing down gives you the look you prefer.
