We are a small American, family-owned business, and every piece we create reflects that. We design in thoughtful, limited quantities — focusing on timeless, elegant styles rather than fast-moving trends. Our goal is to offer clothing you’ll reach for again and again, season after season.
Before Mad About Merino began, merino wool had already become part of my life. After living on Kauai for more than 25 years, frequent trips to Australia introduced me to merino — and over time, I replaced my entire wardrobe with it.
Why? Because it simply works. Merino wool is naturally breathable, temperature-regulating, soft on the skin, and incredibly versatile. It keeps you cozy when it’s cool, comfortable when it’s warm, and travels beautifully without fuss. It’s clothing that adapts to your life — not the other way around.
When the world paused during the pandemic, I chose to create something meaningful instead of waiting for things to return to normal. That decision became Mad About Merino.
