MERINO RIB or 
JERSEY Fabric?

We carry Merino Wool in different fabric styles:

• In RIB Fabric which is luxuriously soft and stretchy, and...

• In JERSEY Fabric, which is more like a t-shirt fabric and luxuriously soft.

 

Merino RIB fabric offers itself to making cardigans, sweaters, scarfs, wraps, anything really where you want a lot of stretch. RIB fabric is one of our favorite materials as it wears so well with the wool moving with you elegantly, plus it'll never need ironing. All merino fabric comes in different thicknesses, and most of our garments are around 200 GSM, which is a medium fabric weight that keeps you cozy without being too bulky.

 

Merino JERSEY fabric is normally a little lighter in weight and more resembles a very soft, silky T-shirt fabric. It's less stretchy, and offers itself for Tops, T-shirts, Leggings, Merino Base Layers, but also some Dresses, and anything that's a little lighter fabric wise. Jersey fabric may require light ironing occasionally when it comes out of the washing machine.
